Pharmacy

Personalized Service and Customer Care is our Number One Priority

Our full service compounding pharmacy offers personalized care and service to every customer, giving you confidence in understanding your health and medication.

Come in and chat with anyone of our pharmacists. We always have a pharmacist on duty during store hours, ready to assist you with medication and other health related concerns. We are always here to offer friendly and knowledgeable pharmacy service, and happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have.

If you would like to discuss your health concerns privately with a pharmacist, we offer a private consultation room where you can speak with one of our professionals in a caring and discreet environment.

Join us throughout the year for one of our Health Care Clinics, such as Osteoporosis, pain relief and anticoagulation. Click on our Community calendar for upcoming Health and Store Events. Please become involved in the many charities we support and believe in.

We look forward to seeing you at Qualicum Beach Pharmasave!

Travel Health Assessments

Travel assessments are recommended for all travelers. Visits include a consultation with a pharmacist who has completed extended training in travel health and is a member with the international society of travel medicine (ISTM).

  • Review health history, previous vaccination history, and travel itinerary.
  • Give health advice.
  • Discuss the recommended/required vaccines and medications.

Vaccinations can be administered after the assessment is complete.

It is recommended that patients book an appointment 4-6 weeks before traveling.

Qualicum Pharmasave is officially designated by the Public Health Agency or Canada and the World Health Organization as a Yellow Fever Vaccination Center.  Only officially designated facilities are authorized to administer this vaccine which is required for travel to many countries in South America and Africa.

Pharmasave Medication Review: Taking care of your medication health.

The Pharmasave Medication Review service is specific for people who regularly use multiple medications.  It is essential that all medications are compatible with each other in order for them to work properly and to achieve your main goal of improving your quality of life.

It is recommended that you discuss all your medications one-on-one with a pharmacist each year.  The pharmacist will be looking to identify and resolve any common medication-related issues.  The medication review also will help you better understand your medication therapy and ensure medications are being taken as prescribed.

So if you're on multiple prescription, please ask about having a medication review with a Qualicum Beach Pharmasave pharmacist.

Why Medication Review?

  1. Demystifies complex drugs or complicated regimens
  2. Provides a comprehensive review of all your medication
  3. Gives you the ability to get answers to all your questions
  4. Resolves any drug related issues
  5. Create a Care Plan to help you reach your health goals
  6. Receive an accurate list of your medications to take with you pre-hospitalization
  7. Get all new medication information post-hospitalization
